Your first step is to call and discuss your needs. This will give you the opportunity to talk to your physiotherapist directly and ask any questions. Your physiotherapist will ask questions to find out about you, what you're having difficulty with and what you want to work on. To book a consultation, call (902) 809-1793.
No, physiotherapists are primary healthcare professionals in Canada. This means you DO NOT have to talk to your doctor before booking physiotherapy. Most insurance plans don't require a doctor note for reimbursement. If your plan does require a referral from your doctor, we can help coordinate as part of our intake process.
If you qualify for our services, we will book a time for your physiotherapist to come to your home and complete an initial assessment, which includes range of motion, strength, mobility and balance testing as well as blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen levels and equipment needs. After your initial visit, you would agree on a treatment plan. Most clients are seen 1-2 times/week initally.
*Pre-payment is required at the time of booking.
This depends on your physiotherapist's schedule but typically your physiotherapist will allow time after the first in person visit for a short treatment. Your second visit is often scheduled within the next 3-5 business days.
You are expected to pay your physiotherapist directly at the end of each session. You can use cash, cheque or e-transfer.
Yes, WE ARE NOW DIRECT BILLING some insurance companies! When purchasing a package, your physiotherapist will give you a summary of your sessions upon completion and break down the cost of each visit for you to submit to your insurance company. This usually takes only a few days once you send the request to your insurance company.
